Deficient irrigation of vegetable crops

چکیده
Water is one of the main factors for production vegetable crops due to its crucial role in absorption and transport nutrients, temperature regulation some physiological processes, including photosynthesis. Considering growing needs a population food significant part agricultural research focused on improving use efficiency (WUE - efficiency) saving water without reducing yields. Given difficulty increasing WUE through selection tradeoff between photosynthesis transpiration, agronomic strategies are needed. Due shallow root system fresh sale products, relatively more sensitive moisture than field crops. Deficit irrigation (DI) direct approach by increase productivity (WP productivity). Regulated deficit (RDI) partial drying (PRD) two widely used DI planning methods along with classic approach. We searched peer-reviewed literature studies reporting yield differences subjected deficits. The search was conducted Google Scholar Web Science using various combinations following keywords: crop or shortage drought. Moderate levels stress (<65% FI) adversely affect yields regardless external such as soil structure, climate system. This level justified regions where restrictions already place forecast. Based WP growth, low 35–50% FI tomato pepper, 50–65% onions <35% eggplant watermelon optimal areas severe scarcity. However, higher may also have an adverse effect quality terms reduced fruit/root/bulb size.

Traditional and New Approaches to Irrigation Scheduling in Vegetable Crops
Intensive vegetable cropping systems use large amounts of water and nutrients. Excess application of water and nutrients results in economic losses (higher fertilizers and pumping costs) and contributes to nutrient leaching and environmental degradation. Increasing nutrient use efficiency (NUE) and water use efficiency (WUE) should be a priority for sustainable horticulture. This increased NUE,...

Transplant Age in Vegetable Crops
s. Therefore, more information is necessary concerning cauliflower transplant age. CHINESE CABBAGE [Brassica rapa L. SSP. PEKINENSIS (LOUR.)]. Kratky et al. (1982) in Hawaii found no significant differences in time to maturity, individual head weight, and total yield from Chinese cabbage transplants of 3, 4, 5, and 6 weeks of age. متن کاملThe Ionomic Study of Vegetable Crops
Soil contains various essential and nonessential elements, all of which can be absorbed by plants. Plant ionomics is the study of the accumulation of these elements (the ionome) in plants. The ionomic profile of a plant is affected by various factors, including species, variety, organ, and environment. In this study, we cultivated various vegetable crop species and cultivars under the same fiel...
